When Urban Barn came to Aralco, the company was using a POS software systems that failed to function with their growing business. Urban Barn was no stranger to POS software programs. Employees in over 30 Urban Barn stores across Canada are now using the Aralco POS system on over 60 POS machines. In addition, there are 44 Back Office users of Aralco.
Within one year of implementation, the POS Aralco system has already solved a lot of Urban Barn's problems. It's phenomenal that we have come so far in one year, says Rick. We were like kids in a candy store when we purchased the system.

The company introduced the back office inventory management portion of the Aralco system in stages, ensuring that both employees and managers were comfortable with the functionality before introducing new features.
"I currently give our staff only about 20% of the power of the back office system to work with, says Jag Hundal (IT Manager). There is an amazing amount of information that the system makes available.
Due to the company's phenomenal growth - doubling in size in a period of only two years - implementation speed was affected by all of the other priorities being implemented simultaneously: opening new stores, opening new warehouses, expanding spaces, introducing new processes, and performing a myriad of other activities
Aralco helped us change the way we do business, says Rick. As a company, we don't want to look corporate on the outside. We want to keep that personal, small company touch. But we definitely want to look corporate on the inside.
